A 2.5 RS with a 90's autobox is a sad sight

I beat the ever loving piss out of mine and it never voiced a complaint. I opened the bottom of the front tow loops up because I smashed the front end on everything off road, at speed; slammed into a snow drift sideways at 50+ dorifto-ing and lifted one side off the ground, carved topographic maps into the JDM front lower control arms from ditch hooking, etc.
11/10 would buy again

huh, wrong front bumper for a 98, but the right interior. Interesting . But obviously too the wrong wing and wheels, odd that they didnt mention those upgrades in the description.
but as you say, that thing is HAGGARD! missing half the side skirt, and those things are costly like gold now. but that rear arch rust (so typical) is the worst.
more power to em, automatic with hand controls, don’t let a disability make you drive ugly/boring cars.

It’s set up with hand controls for a person with a disability so the autobox is advantageous.

How do you F a car up that badly in 106k miles!?!?!?!

DirtyImpreza is the best Impreza.
My 98 Brighton was hilariously fun for $2k. Suby parts bin meant everything swapped easily. EJ22 meant forever slow. It was the perfect rally car because I didn’t worry about balling it up in the trees. Cleaned it all up and sold it as a ‘
great winter car’
for the same amount paid.
.
Would buy again.

Because rally car.

I swapped the 99-01 front end onto my 98, along with a JDM bumper beam. Lost like 20lbs in the front end.

The more I look at this impreza the more I like it. Son of a bitch, my wife would kill me if I bought it for my daughter.

Poor excuse:
Older, over 2x as many miles on the body, in WI its whole life....

I had a no question mod theory for this one.. mudflaps? check, Steeringwheel tape? check, Rallypig? check..

LMFAO, what does that say about Subaru quality?

Too bad about the rust, those are the best.

I swapped a JDM WRX bumper onto mine, with the lightweight bumper beam.
but I suspect the majority of my weight savings were in the bondo removal area

![]() 07/29/2019 at 14:57 |

Damn that didn’t take long.
![]() 07/29/2019 at 14:58 |

I found that odd, maybe removed them after listing. You can clearly see them in the photos I copied over.

I would imagine he’d want to keep them if he needed them.
![]() 07/29/2019 at 17:21 |

Ever used hand controls? Kinda hard to do... with a spin knob too. Weird not using your feet.
![]() 07/29/2019 at 17:41 |
|
Nope, I can only imagine a lot of the damage is due to drifting in the winter on snowy roads using hand controls. I mean, I would do that to so I can’t fault the seller.
